About Anthony Richardson
Anthony Richardson is a comedian, writer and director who has made a career out of finding the funny in places you probably weren’t looking. Half of the sketch duo The Exploding Heads, Anthony is best known for co-creating characters like Colin From Portsmouth and Ian Fiveankles, who somehow manage to be both absurd and alarmingly familiar.
When he’s not pretending to be a washed-up football presenter or answering phone calls to a man who takes supporting Portsmouth way too seriously, Anthony is busy writing, directing and starring in comedy for TV, radio, podcasts, brands, and anyone else brave enough to let him loose with a camera. His work has appeared on Paddy Power, ESPN, BBC Comedy, The Guardian, and more.
He’s shared the screen with everyone from Ronaldo to Peter Crouch to Gemma Collins (sometimes in the same week, which was confusing for everyone involved). His comedy projects have won awards, sold out theatres, and racked up millions of views online — although his mum still thinks he should “get a proper job.”
